May 27, 2012 is the Solemnity of the Pentecost and because I'm a Chapel Aide, I'm a member of the choir. we've been practicing everyday for our songs (those crazy high notes and voicing and blendings). The practices paid off since we had a very beautiful liturgy. But before achieving those stuffs, one must be very disciplined in avoiding those cold drinks and sweet treats!!
But forgive me, I just couldn't resist when I saw this chocolate box in the fridge!
"CRISP DARK CHOCOLATE-COVERED SPECIALTY, WITH A SMOOTH FILLING AND A DARK CHOCOLATE AND ALMOND CENTER"
Look at that! so yummy! Btw, the filling is Dark Chocolate, my favorite!
So much for the Chocolate.
(Sorry if i don't have any pictures from the liturgy, it was not allowed to take pictures - for the respect of the sanctity of the Holy Eucharist)
Pentecost is the festival when Christians celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is celebrated on the Sunday 50 days after Easter (the name comes from the Greekpentekoste, "fiftieth").
Pentecost is regarded as the birthday of the Christian church, and the start of the church's mission to the world. (BBC)
One thing I learned is that, The Holy Spirit unites us and strengthens our faith in God. Where there is unity, trust and love, the holy spirit is present. To quote the presider, "It is only fitting that we must give glory to God for it is by the holy spirit that we are able to do everything."
