Red Velvet.

Nom nom nom. no, seriously. I loooove cupcakes! They're like one of the sweetest things on earth! And not to mention they're cute and colorful! But this post will not be about real cupcakes but.. *insert drum roll here* Nail Art! hahahahah! :)

I've been really stuck to this nail art mania and I like the idea that I can be creative in applying it on my nails with a little help from the Polished book of course! :) I decided to wear the cuppycake designs because they are to die for! It was originally named cuppycake but I named it RED VELVET since it was red (duh), it resembled a red velvet cupcake plus I lacked the pastel colors that should have been used (shame on me) haha! Everytime I see it, it makes me so hungry!

I know, i know, it looks messy but I hope you recognized that it is a cupcake! hahah! Cheers to more happy nail art moments!

Maybelline BB Stick Review

After my first haul post, here come's my first product review post! Slowly taking baby steps.. yep!

I have mentioned in my First Haul post that I bought the Maybelline BB Stick instead of the BB Cream. I just wanted to try something new. I also mentioned that I was intrigued by it because its in a stick form rather that the conventional cream. This review is based on my own experience with the product. :)

Price = P249
The Product claims:
12 Hour Anti Shine Powder in a Sti k
8 in 1 Skin Transformer

Controls shine - Mineral Clay formula helps keep skin shine-free all day
Lasts all day - Powder Finish, resists sweat and sebum up to 12 hours
Clears - Reduces the appearance of dark spots, redness, fine lines and wrinkles
Refines - Reduces the appearance of pores
Conceals - Instantly hides flaws and imperfections
Evens - Corrects uneven skin tone
Smoothens - Makes skin feel smooth, soft and supple
Protects - SPF21/PA+++ protects harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Here's what I think:

The product is convenient in the sense that you can bring it anywhere because of its size, you can just put it in your bag and it doesn't consume much space. Its packaging makes it easy to use and less messy to apply.
It comes in two shades: Fair and Radiance. I bought the one in Radiance since I don't have fair skin.
This is how long the product goes. A good 1 and 1/2 inch.
Thats the before and after. I decided to post a picture with my face wearing the bb stick alone so you could see clearly. Of course with blush, powder and stuffs like that, it will be better.
Observations:
1. The BB Stick has a matte finish.
2. For those who have oily skin, this product is good for you guys since it will lessen the shine plus it doesn't have a dewy effect so its not sticky and its not heavy to wear.
3. Its texture, when applied and blended on skin, is actually powdery.
4. It has good coverage. It lessens the appearance of skin imperfections.
5. It doesn't really stay all day (12 hours as what it claims). Maybe a good 5-8 hours (for me). But for oily skin, just set it up with powder of bring you trusty powder with you to retouch or something. :)

So far, that is all that I can say about the product. I've used it for almost 2 weeks already and Its okay to use.  But since I have normal skin, I'm thinking of sticking to dual powder foundations. (hahahaha!) But if ever I change my mind, I'd buy it again. after all, its not a bad product :)

Special shout out to Ile of A Hint of Sunlight for requesting this review :)

PLUS! HERE'S A VIDEO ON THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAYBELLINE'S BB STICK AND BB CREAM!

Haul!

First Haul eveeeeeeeer!! I don't know what came up but I just saw my room filled with stuffs inside a plastic from SM and I had to do a haul post because these are such good finds. I just every body to know that I am not in any way bragging about anything. I'm just sharing with you guys what I had for myself because it had been so long since I've had time to shop. Like literally, when I go to the mall, I drool! And so, when my family went to the mall, I kinda got myself stuffs that I REALLY NEED. I don't splurge. I'm a wise shopper! *wink.wink* These are, by the way, bought in a span of two weeks. And almost everything, if not everything is below P500. I'm frugal like that. :)

Do read the captions because You'll then know why I got this stuffs and how much of an awesome find each item is. :)

Aren't these sneaks the cutest? I got them from SM department store. Their brand is KICKS and guess what, I got this 2 for P399.75! Such a cheap find!
OMG! I forgot how much this was but I think its P100+ which is kinda amazing because its huge and can probably last for 2 months. hahahahah! I use this because I like clean and healthy feet. No, I feet doesn't stink and I'll prevent it from stinking. eerr. hahaha!
Bought pens because I was running low on ink :)
YEHEE! Since I got brand new sneakers, I think it is only fitting to buy new socks! These are worth P199 :)
Got this from my absolutely favorite store, REGATTA :) These cost me P695, (I think) but I love it. Pagbigyan niyo na, ngayun lang. hahah!
This flower-ry blouse it from crissa. I bought this because it was on sale :) Got this for only P450!
Got this for P200+. I just wanted to try it. I was choosing between the stick and the cream and Joe said that the stick would be easier to handle so I got the stick!
That's how long the bb stick is.
An Ultimate jersey that Joe got for me! He spent P200 for this because everytime he'd have a tournament, their team always have new jerseys so he always gets one for me :)
So that's it! I hope this won't be the last of my hauls. hahahah! What do you think of my new items? :)

Totally rocking the bare-face look! :) hahahah!
The nail art artist in me is happy! :) Hoping I don't fail in my next attempts.

Street Dance 2012

This will be another photo bomb post because I really think that this is post worthy. When you see the pictures, you'll get to see the amazing costumes and tribe diversity here in Cagayan de Oro and the rest of Misamis Oriental.

This is one of the highlights of the Kagay-an Fiesta and even though it was super hot, still there were a lot of spectators! The contingents really prepared for this for months and it was just awesome. I didn't have any camera with me plus it was a Sunday so I didn't really get to see and join the dancing in the streets but Joe, got the chance so everything I will post is his. I'm sorry I've been posting stuffs from last August. August was a total blast so I really wanna share it here. I hope in the future, you get to visit CdeO in fiesta because you will really have a good time! :)

This is probably my favorite photo! Look at the detail :)

Sorry if this was a really loooooooooooooooooong post! I can't resist! I just had to post these beautiful pictures. This event really showcased the diversity of Mindanao. I am hoping that next year, I can join in the fun :))

What do you think of the event?

Kumbira 2012

This, I think, was last August 16, 2012. Another backlog and photo bomb! But don't worry, I know you guys will enjoy and you're tummies filled. Trust me.

Every year, as pasrt of the City Fiesta, there is an event called KUMBIRA. typically, its a gathering of all the restaurants, schools, hotels, and other food establishments to talk about FOOD, kitchen equipments, FOOD, food preparations, FOOD, hotel and restaurant management, FOOD, and (did I mentioned) FOOD?! Yes, you got it right, this event was probably the yummiest.! I paid P40 to get in and viola! I get to taste the food in there if there were samples available (which is always available because duh! its a food festival!) Plus, there are contests so its not really boring. Its fun and is packed with a lot of people! This year's theme was "EATS MORE FUN IN KUMBIRA" which they patterned from the tourism slogan of the Philippines :)

So, Me and Joe went there on the second day because it was exam week and I have exams on the day Kumbira was to open. :) When we got there, the bartending contest was already starting ans it was unbelievable. The contestants came from all over Mindanao! Such a huge event! As all the people had their eyes on stage, me and joe had our eyes on the displays. It was so yummy!! Of course, to share it with you guys, I have pictures!

So this is the entrance to the venue :) Boyfriend insisted I should have a photo in the canopy-like entrance!
If you can't figure this out, this is a watermelon. Such beauty. Their theme for this contest was Tribal hence the designs!
This is bread! Wow! Their theme was Pinoy Handaan.
MY FAVORITE PART! DESSERTS!!
This is a compilation of Cakes! :)
While we were inside the venue, the Havaianas wet up their MYOH 2012! This was the VIP night so this is a RSVP.

Wasn't that yummy? How I wish they had samples of those desserts! SO GOOOOOOOOD! :)
